Terms of Service
Effective: July 17, 2026 · Last updated: July 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of lucidwater.co and our deployment URLs (collectively, "the Site"), and any quote, installation, or service you request from Lucid Water Co. ("Lucid," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or requesting service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
Lucid Water Co. is a residential water treatment business serving the San Francisco Bay Area. You can reach us at info@lucidwater.co or (415) 580-1527.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to request service or provide information through the Site. By submitting a form, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the homeowner or are authorized to arrange work at the property in question.
3. The water checker is informational
Our on-site water checker reports water-hardness and contaminant figures drawn from public municipal water-quality reports (Consumer Confidence Reports) and published sources. These figures describe the water system serving an area, not your specific tap. Actual hardness and water quality at your address can vary with your provider, your plumbing, seasonal source blending, and other factors. The checker is provided for general information only. It is not a water test, not a professional assessment, and not a guarantee of the condition of your water. Do not rely on it as your sole basis for a health or purchasing decision.
4. Quotes, pricing, and orders
Prices shown on the Site are the standard flat prices for the systems described, and we work hard to keep them current. A price shown on the Site or in the lead form is an offer to begin a conversation, not a binding contract. Your order is confirmed only when we have reviewed your property details and both parties have agreed in writing (including by email or e-signature) on the system, the price, and the scope of work. We may decline or adjust a quote if your property requires work outside the standard scope (for example, unusual plumbing, additional materials, or a larger system for a larger home). We will tell you before any additional charge applies.
5. Installation and your property
You are responsible for providing safe access to the installation location and for disclosing known conditions that affect the work (for example, the location of the main water line, existing leaks, or prior modifications). Installation involves temporarily shutting off your water. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, code violations, or damage that exists before our work begins.
6. Equipment and warranty
The systems we install are manufactured by Honest Water Co. and are covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty, which is tiered: a lifetime warranty on the storage and media tanks, ceramic discs, and non-water-contact dry parts; a five-year warranty on the control valve, circuit board, and filtration media; and a one-year warranty on installation labor and on the reverse osmosis system. Warranty coverage requires that the system is installed, operated, and maintained according to the manufacturer's guidelines, and it excludes damage from misuse, freezing, flooding, unauthorized modification, or water conditions outside the system's rated specifications. The manufacturer's warranty is the exclusive warranty on the equipment. Except as expressly stated, we make no other warranties, and all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site: no attempting to breach security, scraping or harvesting data, submitting false information or other people's information without authorization, interfering with the Site's operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, layout, and graphics, are owned by Lucid Water Co. or used with permission, and are protected by applicable law. Product images and specifications are provided by the equipment manufacturer and remain their property. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse Site content without our written permission.
9. Third-party services and links
We use third-party providers to operate the Site and our business, including GoHighLevel (customer relationship management), Vercel (hosting), and Meta and Google (advertising and analytics). Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. The Site may link to third-party sites we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it (including water-quality figures) is complete or current. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lucid Water Co. and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the equipment or installation will not exceed the amount you paid us for that system. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lucid Water Co. from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the Site.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Disputes relating to a specific installation are also subject to any separate written agreement you sign for that work, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
